Hello Acadia Minor Players and Family,

We are extremely happy to announce that we have partnered up with Wolfville Legion to run a CHASE THE ACE weekly lottery. As we are all aware Hockey is not only a time committment but it is also a financial committment. Last year we were able to keep registration costs the same however this proved to be challenging and not something that we can commit to this season if we do not generate some funds from other sources. 

Our hope is , with both community and your support we can make this an ongoing fundraiser which has the potential to generate funds for both AMHA and the Wolfville Legion. We hope to direct funds to a number of initiatives such as keeping registration costs down, enhancing our recreation program so every child has access to the sport if they want to play and to bolster our quickstart programs as we all know that with out those players we wont have an association that grows and thrives. With a fundraiser like this we all know that the potential is there to create significant funds, but we can't do it with out the community support. 

Tickets went on sale Friday May 2nd at the Legion Lower Level Bar and in the Admin Office during thier hours of operations. You can also now purchase tickets at the Home Hardwares in Wolfville , Kentville and Canning due to the amazing support of Rafuse Home Hardware. We are grateful for their support. 

On Thursday of each week you can purchase tickets from 4-7pm at the Wolfville Legion, in the beginning, in the Lower Bar and then on the Main Level beginning on the  15th of May. 

Please note that Chef Wayne will be operating a smoker and BBQ menu during Thursday's ticket selling and draw.

The weekly Draw will take place in person Thursdays at 7:30pm at the Wolfville Legion and will be broadcasted on thier facebook page. 

RULES:

1. Tickets will be sold, in the beginning, at the Wolfville Legion and Home Hardwares only and as other designated locations are added we will pass along.

2. Tickets cost $5 each / 3 for $10 / 7 for $20

3. You can buy tickets through cash, debit or credit cards at the Legion. (other locations, when available, will be cash purchase only)

4. If you have friends and family who cannot be at the draw they can etransfer you the money and you can purchase for them

5. Money allocation: 20% of weekly ticket sales goes to the person whose ticket we draw each week. 30% is added to the weekly accumulating pot. 50% goes to the entity selling the tickets (AMHA and the Legion will share equally this amount weekly)

6. Thursday we will have all tickets on site by 4pm and will continue to sell tickets until 7pm. 

7. The draw will then take place at 7:30pm. If the person, whose ticket we draw, is on site then they will get the chance to draw for the Ace of Spades. If the person is not on site we will call them to see if they can make their way to the Wolfville Legion within 30 minutes to complete the draw. If they are unable we will conduct the draw by having the organizing committee draw for them, live stream on FB.

8. If the person draws the ACE of Spades they win the pot as well as the 20% of ticket sales that week.

9. If the person does not draw the Ace of Spades they still win 20% of ticket sales from that week and the process begins again the next day.

We are extremely excited to get this fundraiser up and running.
